Thermography Raised Ink
Non Coated Papers
Unlike Spot UV that gives a shiny but flat result with UV coating, thermography is a premium post-printing process uses polymerized powder that creates slightly raised layer with slightly uneven texture when being heated, giving a distinctive tactile quality. It produces a natural shiny embossing look without indenting the other side of the card.
Criteria in thermography:
- Only one side of a name card can be done with thermography. You cannot have front and back with raised print.
- Thermography does not work well on fine details, font must not be smaller than 7 points.
- Avoid typefaces with thin strokes.
Thermography can be applied on a large variety of non-coated stocks.
